Women/Trans/Queer/Gender Non-Conforming Only Basic Bike Repair Workshop: Pride Week Edition

June 6 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This workshop will cover basic bike parts and terminology, fixing a flat, adjusting brakes and gears, basic maintenance and diagnostics, safety checks, and any other topics of interest, time permitting. We ask that you bring your own bike if possible so that you can get practice working on it and leave with a tuned-up bike! If that’s not possible, you can work on one of the shop bikes. The workshop is open to all ages and all women-identified persons, queer/trans/gender non conforming folk are welcome. The course will be taught by woman mechanics in a supportive, fun atmosphere and there are usually baked goods present! Course cost is $25, payable by cash, debit, or credit. Registration required here, max attendance 7 people: https://tinyurl.com/pridebike. Can’t make this one? This same workshop does also happen on the first Tuesday of every month, you can see dates and register at newhopecommunitybikes.com. If cost is an issue, we have PWYW WTQGNC drop-in shop nights on the third Tuesday of every month, 6-9pm, no registration required.
